No. Previous pageant experience is not required to compete at Texas International Pageants. Our system proudly welcomes both first-time contestants and experienced competitors. Texas International is focused on personal growth, confidence, and leadership development.

A local title is selected by the contestant and should represent a city or county with which you have a personal connection.

After completing registration and submitting the $250.00 non-refundable deposit, each contestant will receive a Welcome Email that includes the official Texas International Pageants Handbook. This handbook contains important information regarding competition weekend, expectations, schedules, and guidelines. Contestants are expected to read the handbook in its entirety.

After the $250.00 non-refundable deposit is received, city title sashes are mailed 4 to 6 weeks to contestants.

Your Platform Page allows you to share a cause, passion, or mission that is meaningful to you. It is an opportunity to communicate why your platform matters, how you plan to make an impact, and how it aligns with your Texas International journey and potential year of service.

No. Staying at the host hotel is not required. Contestants are responsible for their own lodging and transportation. However, please note that pageant events may begin early and conclude late. All pageant events are mandatory, and punctuality is expected.

Contestant will want to wear a top that can be easier removed to change into other outfits – unless instructed otherwise by the hair and makeup team.

Contestants will compete in alphabetical order based on the local title selected.

Contestants will stand during interviews, which are conducted in a round-robin format with all judges present.

Interview length is based on division:
2 Minutes – Princess Program
3 Minutes – Preteen
5 Minutes – Teen, Miss and Mrs.

No. Texas International values confidence, preparation, impact, and presentation—not the price tag. Many contestants borrow gowns, repurpose prom dresses, or choose budget-friendly options.

Yes. All rehearsals are mandatory unless prior approval has been granted by the directors. Rehearsals ensure a positive, organized, and confident competition experience for all contestants.

No. Rehearsals are closed and limited to approved staff only.

Yes, however all cell phones, tables, laptops and other electronic devices must be placed on silent mode during rehearsals. Contest may use their devices at designated times only. Excessive phone use during rehearsals is discouraged to maintain focus, respect staff, and support fellow contestants.

Contestants are encouraged to document their weekend and share on social media at designated times.
Photos are not permitted in dressing rooms to ensure privacy for all contestants. -
Yes. Texas International staff members will be present throughout the weekend. Contestants are expected to communicate respectfully and keep staff informed of their whereabouts at all times.

No. The Opening Number primarily consists of walking patterns and basic movements. No prior dance experience is required, and this portion is not judged.
Opening number routine will be provided prior to pageant weekend or taught during pageant weekend.

As a courtesy to all contestants, personal photography or videos are not permitted during the competition. Professional photographers will capture the pageant, and images will be available for purchase.
